BUDDING POT CULTURE

Letter writer Gary Gall's contention that the mild intoxicant
marijuana has never caused an overdose death raises some questions.

First of all, is Gall saying that traces of marijuana have never been
found in the system of any overdose victim? Is it possible, in other
words, that along with whetting the appetite for food, marijuana
whets the appetite for other substances?

Is, for example, the average stoner disciplined enough to restrict
his drug ingestion to marijuana only?

If not, is marijuana really as innocuous as Gall claims? Could it be
that the rehab culture is the ultimate budding offshoot of the pot culture?
