HARMLESS DRUG
Re. Russell Barth, Letters, Feb. 18: So 1.1 percent of the human
population is vulnerable to schizophrenia 'triggered' by marijuana.
You'll find that same figure attributed to booze or bad diets.
Schizophrenia is a serious problem, but so are the gangs that make
money from the prohibition we have in place against what is
essentially a harmless drug.
A more constructive answer would be to harness it, regulate it, rather
than keeping it in the underground economy.
