LEGALIZING DRUGS IS THE BEST WAY TO GO
I am happy to read that more opinion makers are starting to see
legalizing drugs is the best way to go. I have been saying this for 15
years, maybe more. No, I am not in my 20s but in my senior years. No,
there are not, to my knowledge, any drug users in my family. What does
concern me is the increasing number of innocents caught in the
crossfire of violence between gangs - and the even higher cost of
human misery resulting from all this. We have been throwing more
police, laws and money into this for 70 years, to no avail. So why not
try something else? Let's try something, compassionate, non-violent
and quite likely less costly in the long run. People will always find
someway to alleviate their pain and unhappiness or just to experience
adventure or euphoria. Let us give these people what they need or want
in the safest manner possible.
