B.C. MAN KILLS HIMSELF IN U.S. JAIL
Police in Washington state are investigating after a B.C. man accused
of drug-smuggling killed himself in the Spokane County Jail.
Sgt. Joe Peterson of the Spokane police said Tuesday that Samuel
Lindsay-Brown, 24, of Revelstoke, was found alone in his jail cell
hanging by a sheet some time after he had been served lunch last Friday.
"He somehow jammed a towel over the window that [the jailer] could
look through," he said.
Lindsay-Brown was arrested Feb. 23 for allegedly smuggling B.C.
marijuana across the border.
Peterson said Lindsay-Brown was awaiting trial at the time of his
death.
