There is no need for the province to revisit funding, finance a new
gang task force or start a regional police force.

All that is needed to eliminate gangs is legalization and regulation of drugs.

Take away the profit margin and you take away the incentive.
Otherwise, all you are doing is trying to put out a fire by throwing
gasoline on it. That will never work.

The stiffer the penalties and enforcement, the higher the profits for
organized crime and gangs, and the higher the death tolls and other
costs associated with fighting a losing battle on drugs.
