CRYSTAL METH SAID FOUND

Shelburne Police have uncovered evidence of the drug crystal methane,
also known as crystal meth, in town.

Although details of the investigation aren't being divulged, a public
information session about the devastating effects and the dangers it
poses is being planned for later this month.

According to police, the drug is made from chemicals that are readily
available at hardware stores and pharmacies. A meth lab can be set up
in something as small as the trunk of a car.

Police warn that due to the volatility of the chemicals used in the
production crystal meth, labs pose an extreme risk of fire or explosion.

Officers will be on hand during the information session discussing
issues surrounding the effects of both crystal meth and marijuana
grow houses and the effects these narcotics has on a community.

The public is invited to attend the session on June 29 in Grace
Tipling Hall, Shelburne.

If you have any information for the police about crystal meth,
contact the force at 925-3312.
