MARIJUANA SLOWS TEEN BRAIN DEVELOPMENT
(CNS) - Study - Adolescents and young adults who are heavy marijuana
users appear more likely to have disrupted brain development,
according to a Philadelphia study.
Pediatric researchers found abnormalities in certain areas of the
brain at a crucial time in its development; these areas link regions
involved in memory, attention, decision-making, language and
executive functioning skills.
