9-YEAR-OLD BRINGS POT TO SCHOOL
GALESBURG - Two 9-year-old Steele Elementary School students were found to
have baggies of cannabis on school property Wednesday.
According to police reports, one of the students brought two baggies
of cannabis to school and later gave one of them to a classmate.
The student who brought the drugs to school told school officials and
police the drugs belonged to his mother, who keeps them in a kitchen
cabinet.
The 28-year-old mother was arrested for possession of cannabis with
intent to deliver.
The Department of Children and Family Services was contacted in
reference to the investigation.
