'DRUG WAR' A WASTE OF RESOURCES
As the "War on Drugs" continues to be waged at the expense of billions
of taxpayer dollars and the ruination of countless lives, I am left to
ponder the magnitude of this puritanical waste of resources.
Commenting on the latest child pornography bust, OPP Chief Julien
Fantino said his forces were essentially under-manned and
under-funded. How much longer will society continue to divert money
and manpower away from real issues to fight unwinnable "wars"?
The War on Drugs is a product of religious delusion, a so-called moral
issue fabricated by pious zealots fighting their own unwinnable war on
sin.
As an advancing society, it is imperative that we pull our collective
heads out of our behinds sooner than later. The innocent continue to
suffer the consequences of policies based on fear, misinformation and
religious fiction.
