I do not see anything really wrong with smoking marijuana, so I do not think
what Michael Phelps did was really anything to be ashamed of. But even
assuming his actions were ill-conceived, since when did the celebrity/
athlete become the moral arbiter of our society? Just because a guy can swim
better than most and has won a few medals for it doesn't make him god. Far
from it.

Why is it Michael Phelps's job to appear flawless at all times? It
seems our image of morality can only come from televised and
corporate-sponsored individuals.
