BERTRAND PRESSES WRONG BUTTON
Editor:
Leave it to an addictions specialist like Raymond J. Bertrand to
perpetuate more myths about drug use and instill more fear.
John Lennon wrote this song and later admitted he was under the
influence of LSD when he scripted it.
Actually, in several books, and on TV, Lennon admitted that Lucy In
The Sky With Diamonds was based on a drawing by his four year old son
Julian. Of course, John was doing a lot of LSD at the time, as were
the other three Beatles, and yet they crafted some of the most
innovative and inspired music in the history of mankind more evidence
that drugs are a boon to our culture and our collective lives.
As for promoting my website, I am simply trying to gain a little
ground in a media climate that takes whatever addictions specialists
say at face value, and I used the term jerk because it was the nicest
word I could think of. The ones I was planning on using would never
have been printed, I was that disgusted with his article.
As for my mind being "fogged up", that is yet another myth about
marijuana users that these specialists love to perpetuate. (You
insulted more than just me with that crack...). Typical prohib tactic:
If you can't argue the facts, make fun of the messenger. Classy.
But least I am not getting paid to muddy the waters by simultaneously
instilling fear and glamorizing drug use by associating it with
Satanism. We have been seeing articles like this all over the world
for decades, and it is truly sickening the way these addictions
specialists - just like cops stoke the fires of prohibition in an
attempt to keep their jobs relevant.
