NO-DRUG SURF CONTEST AN EXAMPLE OF CLASS
Wow, Jan Roberson's Jan. 20 letter was one of the most memorable I've
read in "Letters."
As the Maui Chapter Chair of The Surfrider Foundation, Ms. Roberson
shows me nothing but class - no to drugs, including alcohol, no to
tobacco, no to marijuana.
Younger people are by no means the only ones who would do well to
embrace a chemical-free lifestyle. Maui is loaded with misguided older
druggies, spouting off how wonderful pakalolo is, and setting a really
junk example for youth.
Get a life, throw away your crutches and get off the
pot.
