DRUG DEATHS INCIDENT ROOM
AN INCIDENT room has been set up in East Kilbride police station
following the deaths of two Lanarkshire heroin users and the infection
of two others.
An investigation, in conjunction with NHS Lanarkshire, was launched
after it became clear the incidents were linked to contaminated heroin.
Detective Inspector Garry Church said: "We would ask drug users who
experience any abnormal symptoms, or notice any difference in the
physical appearance of heroin, to seek early medical
assistance."
