Editor's note: The Times received many letters concerning the City
Council resolution including language about discussing legalization
of drugs. Some of these were written before the resolution veto was upheld.
DRUG RESOLUTION
So the City Council wants to discuss the legalization of drugs, which
in turn would help control the drug violence in Juarez, Mexico?
Let me think, does this mean that the city of El Paso and all school
districts in El Paso need to remove all signs that state, "Say no to
drug" to "Si se puede?" What a joke!
The last time I Googled where Juarez, Chihuahua, was located, it told
me that I was in Mexico.
So this tells me that Juarez is not part of the United States of
America. So please stop pretending that Juarez is part of the U.S.
If you love mi Mexico lindo so much, please be my guest and move there.
El Paso City Council, how about a resolution to lower my taxes?
