DNCD - 276 DRUG ARRESTS IN 3 DAYS

Santo Domingo.- The National Drug Control Department says it has
jailed 276 people in separate operations and raids across the
country, including the capital, the provinces of Santo Domingo, San
Cristobal and Santiago, confiscating cocaine, marijuana, crack,
firearms, motorbikes and cash.

DNCD chief Major General Gilberto Delgado Valdez said that the
detained would be sent to justice.

Delgado Valdez said that during the last three days, 2,442 portions
of cocaine had been seized, as well as three packets weighing over
three kilograms, 2,008 portions of marijuana and 382 of crack cocaine.

Eight crack labs were also dismantled, said DNCD spokesman Roberto
LebrA3n.
