COUNCIL'S VOTE ON DRUGS UNACCEPTABLE

I am appalled at the El Paso City Council's vote to encourage the
federal government to legalize illegal drugs. As a middle-school
science teacher, I am held accountable for what and how I teach in the
classroom.

So, too, should our council members be held accountable. Did they
check with their constituents to see what we wanted? I didn't get a
call, did you?

This action makes me wonder whose payroll they are on. Perhaps one of
the Juarez cartels? Maybe the FBI needs to broaden their corruption
investigation.

Thank Mayor Cook for being the mayor our city needs and vetoing this
ridiculous resolution.
