FOLLOW THE PEOPLE
A coin has two sides -- a fact that may have escaped our
soon-to-be-retired police chief.
We can hope that his successor will possess a greater propensity to
embrace a basic tenet of our American democracy: The will of the people.
If you missed David Ford's recent letter in the Tribune-Herald, check
it out. Enforcement priorities are critical to improved police service
and protection. Thus, with the exception of juvenile use and
commercial promotion, our police will better serve this community in
other areas of enforcement than piddling marijuana busts in the
consenting-adult world.
