PROSECUTION THREATENS TREATMENT OF SUFFERERS

I am a Maui resident and do not have my medical marijuana license
yet.

I was in a car accident in 2005 and have chronic neck pain. I cannot
take painkillers and function. I was hoping to get my license soon.

Now, with the arrests of the people in charge of the medical marijuana
distribution office Patients Without Time (The Maui News, Nov. 14, 15,
19), it looks as if I may be dealing with my pain for a bit longer.

I feel gravely concerned for the people suffering on Maui and have no
medicine and do not know when they will have it available. In no way
do I condone illegal behavior, if in fact that was the case, in
arresting the people in charge of the medical marijuana office. I
still feel that the authorities closing down the operation without
providing an alternative dismisses the community's need to serve the
sick and is appalling.
