END DRUG PROHIBITION
Re: Mindy Jacobs's Nov. 21 column, "Courting cocaine." Our grandparents must
have been a
lot smarter than we are. They didn't waste time setting up an alcohol court
when they
realized that prohibiting alcohol was causing more harm than good. They
simply ended
alcohol prohibition. We should do likewise with drugs. That's the best way
of reducing
the harm and heartbreak inflicted by illegal drugs on users and non-users
alike.
