TORONTO NEEDS 'YONGESTERDAM'

Re: Police Target Pot-Friendly 'Yongesterdam,' Nov. 22.

The Kindred Cafe is a place for sick and disabled medical cannabis
users to socialize. Sick people need to self-medicate socially for
their mental well-being, which is vital to the healing process.

I've been to the Kindred Cafe several times, and never saw cannabis
for sale in any form. It's a sleek, upscale place serving coffee,
food and smiles. There are many places in Toronto where you can bring
your best buds and hang out. Cannabis tolerance is vital to Toronto's
tourism industry.

The Toronto Police Service is persecuting harmless people by
enforcing a constitutionally invalid law.

Ellis Worthington, Vancouver.
