PAYING FOR CRIMES
Re: Prisons won't reduce crime, Nov. 13.
I don't care if convicted criminals rehabilitate themselves in prison
or not. To me, prison is a place you go to pay for your crime.
Hopefully, you'll be smart enough to rehabilitate yourself.
As it relates to specific policies governments put forward, we live in
a democracy and the government of the day has put forward its plan as
it relates to crime. Perhaps letter-writer Bruce Codere and others who
share his opinion can begin by putting their name forward as a
candidate for MP in the next election and put their policies to work.
