POLICE SEE THE DEVASTATION

The Letter I submitted to the Sun on Nov. 9 regarding the legalization
of street drugs must have struck a chord with Russell Barth and Tim
Meehan. Just because I disagree with your position does not make you
right and me wrong. Police officers may be the ones speaking out about
legalization as we are the ones to first see the devastation to
people's lives and families by these highly addictive drugs. We are
the ones that are used to standing up for what is right and good. The
drug woes in this country are due to the drugs themselves, not the
government's policy about them.
