STREET POT OFTEN CRAP POT

Re: KTW, Nov. 5 ('Potent pot'):
"The marijuana was originally thought to have been laced with a more
noxious substance, but it turns out high levels of THC, the active
ingredient in marijuana, are to blame."
Nonsense and balderdash!
Ask any federally licenced medical marijuana user who has had to
resort to "street" pot for their medical needs and you will hear
stories of crippling headaches, nausea, vomiting and even seizures.
The knee-jerk reaction is to assume that the pot was laced with
something like cocaine or methamphetamine.
This is unlikely since pot is cheap and coke and meth are
expensive.
The more likely reason these kids got sick is from the grow chemicals
often used in street pot.
Bug spray, bug feces, bug carcasses, fungicide, fungus (alive and
dead) and grow fertilizers that haven't been flushed from the buds
during the last 10 days of the plants' flowering cycle can cause all
kinds of problems.
The bottom line is pot is pretty safe, but the crap being sold to your
kids is being grown by greedy bastards who cut corners and pass the
savings on to the consumer.
That isn't pot's fault - you can thank Prohibition for
that.
