THE PUBLIC IS BEING DUPED
RE: "Premier calls in backup," Oct. 30. This is proof that the war on
certain drugs is just a ploy to increase police budgets and troop
numbers. If the government would get smart and regulate drugs like
they do with alcohol, crime would plummet and they would have to start
laying off cops. But they keep increasing enforcement, which
stimulates the drug market, and then they use that increase in gang
activity to justify even more cops and courts and cages. It has been
growing like a snowball for decades! The public is being duped.
