FELGER HOSTS CANDIDATES' FORUM TOMORROW

Tim Felger won't be going to Ottawa as Abbotsford's MP, but the
Marijuana Party candidate still has a vision to resolve some of the
city's social problems.

Felger, now seeking a council seat in Abbotsford's civic elections,
will host and moderate an all-candidates meeting tomorrow at Matsqui
Centennial Auditorium.

According to Felger, the 2*-hour forum that gets underway at 7 p.m.,
offers an opportunity for all civic candidates - council and board of
education - to speak about drugs, the rising level of crime and "the
drug addicted homeless epidemic that has gripped" the city.

"We want to hear what the [candidates'] plans are, if elected, for
dealing with the drug-addicted homelessness, property crime, street
prostitution, gangs, home invasions and violence," said Felger.

The Abbotsford man said the forum should offer some insight into
those seeking government seats on Nov. 15.

"Abbotsford has not always been known for its free speech, but I am
confident that we can lead the nation and the world in solving the
gang and drug violence that has made our city, and most cities in
Canada, violent and unlivable."

Felger is looking forward to the exchange of ideas.

"I am hoping some better ideas emerge besides hiring more police
officers, but I am not speaking, I am just the moderator."
