FALKLAND EVENT BACKS DRUG AWARENESS PROJECT
The Falkland Sunday Morners' annual Show and Shine at the stampede
grounds helped buff up the Falkland RCMP's DARE (Drug Awareness
Resistance Education) Program funds.
The Show and Shine, held despite some wet weather, raised $428, which
was donated to DARE.
"With these funds, the Falkland RCMP will be able to provide the
program again next year to the students of Falkland Elementary," said
Cpl. Brenda Daly.
The Falkland RCMP extend thanks to event organizer Ollie Horton and a
host of dedicated volunteers that stayed out in the rain to raise
money for the program.
