LAW ENFORCEMENT GOES TO POT

Re "Dropping in on pot farms," June 24: G.I. Joe mentality applied to
this laughable idea that marijuana prohibition is attainable showcases
the new paradigm of law enforcement, where they tilt at windmills with
ever-increasing expense and are not required to produce any overall
results, while real dangers abound unchecked. Law enforcement appears
to prefer the violent, corrupt, gang-infested world of prohibition to
the more containable world of tax and regulate. Osama bin Laden
breathes, North Korea is fueling a rocket and these wonders are
playing G.I. Joe on our dime. What an amazing world we live in! How
about that weather?
