LEGAL POT IS NO ANSWER
Editor:
I wondering if Karen Kersey (The Times, Sept. 24) was stoned herself
when she wrote a letter about legalizing pot. What is happening to our
society's thinking today? She says, "Legalized pot as a platform plank
will energize millions of voters." Is this how people decided who to
vote for nowadays? Has Canada become this shallow as a nation?
We try to instill in our children to "say no to drugs," to be and to
do acceptable things in society. Yet here are the leaders of our
country, setting this example. Do our children, the future generations
to come, even have a chance anymore?
Keep the Liberals out. Let's get back to morals, standards and what's
truly right in the world, so that our children don't think it
acceptable and normal to do drugs.
I say this - remember this saying, "Dope is for Dopes."
