Time And Money Are Wasted By The Council

I must be getting soft in the head, because I actually agreed with
three of our Big Island politicians.

Your Aug. 17 WHT had statements from Harry Kim, Pete Hoffmann, and
Stacy Higa.

Hoffmann said that the pot initiative made a mockery out of our
electoral process -- true.

Kim said that our council is not using its walking-around money
properly -- true.

And Stacy said that the pot bill was unwieldly -- true.

Your Sunday paper was like a harmonic convergence for
me.

Let's use this basic tenet as a foundation for future policy making
decisions.

The pot bill is just a huge waste of time, and sending kids on field
trips is not the proper use of county funds -- it only proved that
$300,000 was too much money for County Council members to have.
