Disturbing plan

'The possession of small quantities of marijuana is
a misdemeanor under Texas statutes. If the punishment
is supposed to fit the crime, does that mean LacyLakeview
should confiscate the vehicles of those charged with
speeding, also a misdemeanor?'

Your recent story concerning Lacy Lakeview's plan to
curb drug smuggling by patrolling I35 is quite disturbing.
It is tantamount to premeditated armed robbery.

If a real drug smuggler has made it as far as Waco,
chances are he is much too sophisticated for the Lacy
Lakeview police department. All the LacyLakeview
police will confiscate are the vehicles of your sons
and daughters, who happen to get caught with small
quantities of marijuana.
