War against teen smoking
The federal government, in its great wisdom, is going to
attempt to reduce the cigarette smoking of teenagers by
gradually raising the price of cigarettes with an increase
in taxes.
We know how successful the "war on drugs" has been how
teenagers can procure illegal drugs with little effort and
no tax.
At the same time, the White House is asserting that tobacco
farmers must be protected against any loss of revenue. A
clear example of hypocrisy.
Is this a great country, or what? The Libertarian Party
looks better every day.
