Editorial Endorsements recapped to upcoming vote.
In recent weeks, the Skagit Valley Herald Editorial Board has taken
positions on the local and state measures that voters will decide in
Tuesday's election. Here is a recap of the editorial endorsements:
State Initiative 685 medical drug use: No. This is veiled as a measure
to legalize marijuana for medicinal use for those under a doctor's care who
are suffering from cancer, AIDS or other serious dis eases. In reality,
it will decriminalize a host of drugs including marijuana, heroin and
cocaine, which goes way too far.
