Mr. Constantine accuses the television character Murphy Brown of
"trivializing drug abuse'' (People Nov. 7) when she is portrayed
using marijuana to relieve nausea caused by
chemotherapy.
Does the drug enforcement administrator forget that marijuana has
a number of medicinal virtues, including relief for people with
glaucoma?
When will the U.S. govemment realize that marijuana should be
legalized? This would also provide a potentially enormous source
of revenue that now finds its way into the pockets of society's
criminal elements.
