GIRL, 7, TREATED FOR COCAINE

San Antonio A 7yearold girl who ingested cocaine she found in her
mother's room has been treated and released from a San Antonio hospital,
police said Monday.

Emergency medical crews were called about 10 p.m. Sunday to the family's
apartment, where the girl complained of stomach cramps and burning lips.
The girl apparently was being watched by her 12yearold sister when the
younger child went into their mother's room, found some cocaine and tried
it, said police Sgt. Ernest Celaya. The older sister called 911 to report
the incident.

Police were not releasing the names of the mother or the children. No
charges have been filed in the case.

Both girls were placed with Child Protective Services.
