DRUGS AND MEPs
Sir: Your article (16 January) on a European Parliament report on drugs is
misleading. A large number of MEPs, including Labour members, had serious
reservations about the report, as they do not believe its proposals will
help in the fight against drugs. That is why a majority of MEPs from a wide
range of political groups and nationalities voted for the report to be sent
back to the European Parliament Civil Liberties Committee for further
consideration.
