POT RAID LANDS BIG HARVEST OF PLANTS, ARREST OF MAN
ARLINGTON -- Authorities confiscated 247 marijuana plants valued at nearly
$250,000 in a drug bust last Friday, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office
reported.
The sheriff's office, along with the Snohomish Regional Narcotics Task Force
and the Arlington Police Department, has been investigating marijuana
cultivation in the 19800 block of 101st Drive NE for about a month, said Jan
Jorgensen, sheriff's spokeswoman.
An Arlington man in his late 30s was arrested in connection with the drugs,
as well as allegations that he diverted electrical power to the location to
help grow the plants, Jorgensen said. The Snohomish County PUD assisted in
the investigation.
More arrests are possible.
