TWO ARRESTED IN COUNTY NARCOTICS STING
A sting operation netted two pounds of methamphetamine worth $80,000,
foiling what narcotics investigators called ``a major methamphetamine
trafficking operation in San Mateo County.''
Two Watsonville men allegedly sold the drugs to an undercover agent. Manuel
Mendoza, 27, and Luis Baquelos, 26, are in San Mateo County Jail on charges
of conspiracy, possession and transportation of methamphetamine for sale.
Police said the pair were responsible for moving the illegal drug into the
county for distribution.
