POLICE ARREST 3, FIND GUN, CASH, DRUGS, METHAMPHETAMINE GEAR
Authorities arrested two men and a woman early Friday on drug and weapons
charges.
The bust in Morgan Hill by Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team agents netted
Lorenzo Chavez Valencia, 27, and Juan Chavez Valencia, 22, both of Morgan
Hill, and Esperanza Valencia Gonzalez of East Palo Alto.
A search of a Tennant Avenue apartment turned up paraphernalia to
manufacture methamphetamine, $10,000 in cash, 2.5 ounces of cocaine and a
loaded .357-caliber Magnum. Two and a half pounds of methamphetamine worth
an estimated $20,000 was found buried in a patio, authorities said.
All the suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Jail on charges of
manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of cocaine for sale and
possession of a loaded firearm when in possession of methamphetamine.
A 15-year-old boy from East Palo Alto was sent to juvenile hall and a
9-month-old girl was released to Child Protective Services.
