SMOKELESS AMERICA
Editor -- I saw an ad for ``Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.'' But
``Campaign for Tobacco-Free America'' would be better.
Abraham Lincoln said that our nation could not be half slave and half free.
So with tobacco -- you cannot keep kids from smoking if they see the
grown-ups doing it, if they see their mothers and fathers doing it.
Congress should declare tobacco a poison, a controlled substance, and allow
it to be sold by doctor's prescription to addicts. All advertising should
be forbidden.
The tobacco executives who lied before Congress and said that they don't
target kids should stand trial for perjury.
