POT GROWER PICKS JAIL
RED DEER, Alta. - A local advocate for the legalization of marijuana will
serve a five-day jail term instead of paying a $220 fine after pleading
guilty yesterday to possesssion of 30 grams of the drug. An unrepentant
David Johnston, 25, of Blackfalds, Alta., north of Red Deer, said he plans
to continue his fight to have marijuana legalized. "I'm not remorseful and I
will do it again," Johnston said.
