LUNGREN LOSES MY VOTE

Although I'm a life long Republican, Attorney General Dan Lungren's position
on medical marijuana and his teaming up with Janet Reno to persecute
Microsoft for producing the best operating system for small computers has
convinced me to vote Libertarian ["Lungren's California," Opinion, May 21].

Microsoft cannot have a monopoly as there are several other operating
systems (including OS/2 by IBM) available. Most California voters have
approved medical marijuana and a real Republican would be looking for a way
to implement the will of the voters. Dan Lungren is looking for ways to
thwart the will of the electorate.
