DRUG GRANT BAD NEWS FOR CRAIG

(CRAIG, Colorado) -- Ordinarily a one-and-a-half Million dollar federal
grant to help fight the war on drugs in Colorado would be good news. But
the Moffat County sheriff says the grant will have the opposite effect
along Highway 40 through Craig. Sheriff Jeff Corriveau says the grant money
is going to departments along the Interstate-70 corridor from Vail to Grand
Junction. That money will allow authorities to step up drug patrols along
the popular highway... and Corriveau fears drug traffickers will shift
north to the less-patrolled Highway 40 corridor.
