JUST ANOTHER WASTE OF TAXPAYER MONEY
Editor:
Four pillar approach regarding safe injection sites.
Having read in the Province that B.C Coastal Health Region has spent
$2 million to improve the safe injection sites, one must wonder if
they have gone mad, or what they eat for breakfast.
Why wasn't the money spent to open up more treatment centres, as some
of the junkies never shoot up, but smoke crack cocaine instead.
Do we set up free tobacco sites for those who smoke? Or free booze
for those who are alcoholics? Of course not, then why in the name of
God do we spend millions on free injection sites, instead opening up
treatment centres?
Why wasn't this money spent to get these people off the street and
get them off drugs. And why can't we have much stiffer sentences for
those who sell drugs and benefit from other people's misery?
Isn't it about time we woke up and raised our voices to where our
taxpayers money is going and who is benefiting from all this nonsense?
