Over the past several days we have been receiving and posting more news
items than ever, over 30 per day. This is a result of the coverage of the
UNGASS and the Global Days, along with all the regular news items. THANK
YOU, Newshawks! In the process we have made a few rare exceptions - posted
press releases, etc. These exceptions will remain rare.
We also asked for items to be sent to editor@mapinc.org in languages other
than English. Unfortunately, there has been technical problems that turn
all characters that are not on the standard US keyboard into strange codes,
making translation impossible. It was an idea not ready for prime time! We
still welcome articles from the non-English press, but must ask that it be
translated before it is sent. Thank you to those who did send items in
other languages. We are sorry that this has not worked out. We are
exploring other methods to make this work.
We still want all the items we can possibly receive about the UNGASS. Of
special interest are any and all EDITORIALS from various newspapers and
magazines on the subject. Editorials are the target for folks who write
Letters to the Editor most likely to be published. Now is the time to do
it! We plan to provide a special collection of editorials to this list and
others within a day or two. Please send the items to editor@mapinc.org
