HIKERS SHOULD WATCH FOR POT PLOTS

(CHICO) -- Hiking the wilderness can be relaxing... but it can also be
deadly if you step on the wrong piece of land. Sheriff's deputies in Tehama
(tuh-HAY'-muh) County are warning hikers in the back-country to look out for
marijuana gardens. They say several hikers have unknowingly walked onto
marijuana farms recently. Deputies say the gardens are heavily-guarded and
trespassers could be hurt.
