The Tobacco Bill has died In congress, Sen. John McCain wanted to tax a
carton of cigarettes $1.10 per pack to stop teenage smoking. Let us he
realistic. That will never stop teen-agers from smoking.

If there were a raise of $1.10 on a pack of cigarettes there would be an
immediate black market that would become very profitable to criminals. Does
anyone remember prohibition?

Tobacco was around when Columbus came to the Americas. This country is no
longer a free country. People who are against something are trying to
dictate to others.

Everyone who smokes cigarettes knows the dangers in doing so, just like
those who drink alcohol to excess.

This is their choice. It may not be the right choice, but it is a free
choice. I think the president should be more concerned with teen-agers who
abuse drugs, not cigarettes.
