SNIFFING KILLS SIX A MONTH
More than six people a month are killing themselves sniffing aerosols,
glues and gases, new figures from the British Department of Health showed
yesterday.
The number of deaths in the UK caused by the abuse of volatile substances
rose from 69 in 1995 to 75 in 1996. Most victims were aged 14 to 18.
Aerosols caused 14% of fatalities.
