SENTENCE ENDS BIGGEST MARIJUANA CASE
(BOISE) -- Assistant U-S Attorney Monte Stiles says the word is out that
Idaho prosecutes people who grow marijuana. His work on the largest case in
Idaho ended when Salvador Valdez of Emmett was sent to prison for 12 years.
He is the 18th and final person to go to prison for growing 114- thousand
marijuana plants in Washington and Gem Counties. Stiles says most of the
sentences are for more than ten years... and one man will have to serve 22
years in federal prison.
