POLICE SEIZE 19 DECKS OF SHABU IN BUY-BUST RAID IN BRY. OPAO
MANDAUE - Nineteen packs of white crystalline powder believed to be shabu
were confiscated from a resident of Barangay Opao during a buy-bust
operation conducted by Station 1 police operatives.
The raid was led by Station 1 chief NiA4o David Rabaya at about 3:45 p.m.
yesterday. Money worth P750 and shabu-sniffing paraphernalia were also
seized from the suspect. A police investigator said the suspect has been
engaged in the illegal drug trade since in the 80's by dealing marijuana.
The suspect managed to build a decent house for his family though he does
not have a stable job, the source added. The filing of charges on drug
pushing and illegal possession of prohibited drugs against the suspect are
currently being prepared.
Separate buy-bust Meanwhile, station 1 operatives were also able to seize
three decks of white substances believed to be shabu and other drug-using
paraphernalia from two residents in separate operations.
Mhal Estrera, 21 and Ranulfo Opone of Maharlika, Barangay Tipolo were
arrested in separate buy-bust operations last Wednesday evening.
The operation was led by PO3 Paquito Monterroyo along with barangay tanod
Wenceslao Arnaiz and three civilian agents namely, Rayford Yap, Roger
Monterroyo and Lito Pescante. Appropriate charges have yet to be filed
against the suspects.
