RAID OF FRESNO HOMES YIELDS $ 1.1 MILLION
A raid of two Fresno homes suspected as bases for a Colombian-based cocaine
ring yielded $1.1 million in cash,police said.
The cash found in a middle class neighborhood Friday is the city's largest
narcotics seizure,police Chief Ed Winchester said.
Federal agents and police found the money in a compartment built into a
wall,he said.They also retrieved several pounds of cocaine,handguns and an
assault weapon.
